Using Klimper (AU) with Logic Pro
Add Klimper as a Midi Effect
- In Logic, select (or create) a software instrument track you want to use to playback your chords with.
- In it's channel strip click on MIDI FX and select Audio Unit > polydigm > Klimper Main.
You can now play Klimper's chords through your software instrument. If your software instrument doesn't get triggered initially, it might be needed to arm it.
Additional Tracks
- To use Klimper with additional tracks, click Add New Track in Klimper's Main Plugin.
- In Logic, select (or create) a software instrument track you want to use to playback your new track with.
- In it's channel strip click on MIDI FX and select Audio Unit > polydigm > Klimper Track.
You can now create melodies and basslines within Klimper, playing through your software instrument. Again, it might be needed to arm your software instrument track initially.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find the Klimper Plug-Ins
If you can not find the Klimper Plug-Ins in MIDI-FX > Audio Units > polydigm, Logic might need to re-scan installed plug-ins:
Select Logic Pro > Settings > Plug-In Manager from the menu, and click on "Full Audio Unit Reset". After that, you will need to close Logic Pro and restart it manually.
